RT by @SpaethFlies: Pilot Being Praised After Forced Landing : Somali Starsky Aviation praised one of its pilots after its passenger plane crashed on the coast near the airport due to a technical failure, with all 55 occupants escaped unharmed.
Starsky Aviation said that the pilot's quick reaction was crucial in saving the 50 passengers and five crew members.
The plane reportedly did a runway excursion during the emergency landing, ending up in the Indian Ocean.
A StarSky Aviation Fokker 50 (registration 6O-YAS) crash-landing on a Mogadishu beach moments after departing Aden Adde International Airport for Djibouti, with all 50 passengers and crew safely evacuated and no injuries reported.

RT by @SpaethFlies: On February 3, 787-8 test aircraft ZA004 completed its final flight, returning to Boeing Field with a water cannon salute before departing for long-term storage at Pinal Airpark under its original callsign, “Boeing 004.”
The last 787-8 test jet has concluded its mission after 16 years of service, more than 670 test flights, and over 2,250 flight hours. Parts of the aircraft will now support training, research, and spares through Boeing Global Services.

RT by @SpaethFlies: Just before the completion of one year, TSB Canada has issued an investigation update on 17 February 2025, Endeavor Air CRJ-900 aircraft runway impact at the Toronto/Lester B. Pearson International Airport:
- The aircraft wreckage was removed from the accident site and transported to a hangar at CYYZ for examination and analysis.
- The right wing, landing gear, wing box structure and several components were subsequently sent to the TSB’s Engineering Laboratory in Ottawa for further testing.
- A comprehensive metallurgical examination of the fracture surfaces on the wing and landing gear has been completed, and detailed analysis of this work is ongoing.
- Data from all on-board recorders—including the flight data recorder, quick access recorder, cockpit voice recorder, enhanced ground proximity warning system, and other on-board units—have been downloaded and analyzed.
- Several hours of recorded data from previous flights of the occurrence aircraft were also reviewed and compared with the occurrence flight.
- Data from NAV CANADA's Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System and the GTAA’s closed-circuit television systems have been analyzed to support the review of the approach, landing, evacuation, and emergency response.
- The investigation team conducted simulator exercises at the operator’s facility. The approach profile, including occurrence speeds and thrust settings, was examined in a series of exercises, and the analysis of the simulations is ongoing.
